For over 50 years, Cetacaine has been trusted by dentists and hygienists to deliver effective and rapid pain control where it is needed, and can help put nervous patients at ease. it's unique formula combines three active ingredients to provide a rapid onset of 30 seconds with the benefit of a long duration of up to 60 minutes, when used as directed. Cetacaine is indicated for use on all accessible mucous membrane, except the eyes.

Cetacaine is not for injection. Cetacaine is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients. Cetacaine should not be used in patients with congenital or idiopathic methemoglobinemia.

Cetacaine is available in liquid, spray and gel.

Cetacaine Gel is formulated to provide clinicians with the Cetacaine triple-ingredient formula in a gel form. Patients will know the difference because Cetacaine has been proven to be more effective than 20% Benzocaine alone. The fast acting, long-lasting formula can be applied easily wet surface tissues, and the gel consistency gives you more control during application. Cetacaine Gel reacts with the body’s temperature to absorb into the tissue where it is applied. Use Cetacaine gel to anesthetize prior to the administration of an injection, or for minor surgical or laser procedures. The unique pump-top jar keeps the contents safely enclosed to help protect the un- used portion from cross contamination. You simply depress the pump top to control the amount of Cetacaine Gel that is dispensed. 32 g. Rx only.

Cetacaine Topical Anesthetic Spray

(Benzocaine 14%, Butamben 2%, Tetracaine HCl 2%)

Cetacaine Spray is the only topical anesthetic indicated on-label for suppressing the gag reflex, so it’s the right choice for taking x-rays and impressions that can be more comfortable for your patients and easier for you. Onset is fast in just 30 seconds, and application is easy because our unique spray bottle is designed to provide a precise, controlled misting spray. Because patient safety has been our focus for over 50 years, every bottle of Cetacaine Spray comes with a medical-grade, stainless steel cannula tip is malleable, so it can be modified to accommodate anatomical requirements or procedures. The autoclavable cannula attaches firmly to the bottle, and is easily removed for sterilization. A quick 1-second spray Cetacaine Spray delivers a single dose of mild-banana- flavored Cetacaine, that lasts 30-60 minutes.

Cetacaine® Topical Anesthetic Liquid

(Benzocaine 14%, Butamben 2%, Tetracaine HCl 2%)

For dental procedures, such as SRP, Cetacaine Liquid can be comfortably dispensed into periodontal pockets for up to 60 minutes of needle-free pain control. The viscous liquid is easy to control using Cetylite’s single-use Delivery Syringes and Tips to comfortably apply Cetacaine Liquid drop by drop into periodontal pockets for SRP procedures, or by applying to surface of mucous membrane with a cotton swab or microbrush where pain control is needed. Each bottle includes a special luer-lock dispensing cap, used for filling syringes with just the amount of Cetacaine Liquid needed for treatment, reducing waste. Rx only.
